What classes do you teach at SWEAT Camp?
Bootcamp and ZUMBA 💃🏻
How did you get into teaching fitness and how long have you been teaching?
I have always been interested in teaching Zumba, but never had the time or the energy (let’s be honest) to attend the training to do so, let alone teach and prep for classes. However, once I got in the grove of things at my first official “big girl job” and met/fell in love with my Sweat Camp family, I decided it’s time to do something I have put off time and time again: attend Zumba Instructor Training 😁 Next thing you know we are working our way back to normalcy and coming back to the gym when the wonderful Randi asked me if I could teach a bootcamp class here and there. I had never considered doing so before and was hella nervous, but Randi gave me the confidence and encouragement to just go for it. Soon after I starting teaching bootcamp classes, Randi gave me an additional opportunity to put my Zumba training to work, and, well folks....the rest is history 💁🏻♀️💃🏻💪🏻
Where are you originally from?
Originally originally, Alabama, but I practically spent my entire childhood in good ole Wilkes County, North Carolina. For anybody who is like “where?!,” think between here and Boone (that normally does the trick)
Tell us about your home life? Married? Kids? Pets?
As most of you already know, I am not married, but I am FAR from single as I have a wonderful long term boyfriend, Alex Sefton who is a Prosecutor in the Beaufort County district. In addition to my manz, I have a beautiful cat named Luna. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you have seen a good many stories with her in them! As for kids, I have zero of those and do not plan on having any any time soon, BUT when I do you do you best believe I am coming to all you bitches for tips, tricks, and any advice y’all have to offer your girl haha
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Free time? What is that? Haha jk I love watching trash reality TV, eating Chipotle, reading, spending time with Alex and friends, and simply being outside, especially on the water or laying on the beach!
Any Cool/Fun facts about you?
I call my self a bionic woman as my right ankle is all metal (even the tendons) due to a major softball related injury! No worries, though, because the scar is saweet and I always know when it’s cold or raining 😂
What's your favorite workout or muscle group to exercise?
Well, I may be biased here but ZUMBA!
Honestly, though, I love any workout that involves cardio or workin them abs 😅
Honestly, probably just getting to where I am today. If you told me growing up that I would be an attorney practicing in the legal area I wanted and loved or that I would be teaching and working out at a gym full of women (and men) who lift each other up and truly promote self love, I would have laughed in your face.

Who inspires you most?
Wow! This is a tough question as I believe there are many people in my life who inspire me in very different ways and in many different aspects of life and living (Sweat Camp members included). That being said, I would have to say my Granny is the person who has inspired me most in my life. She is no longer with us, but good lord she was quite some lady. She was beautiful, honest, kind, warm, hardworking, and my absolute number one supporter. She lived every day how SHE wanted to and never ever stopped putting her family first. She was also the best listener. While everyone was asking me about new boys or my social life, she was always asking me about the things that really mattered to me: school, dreams, faith, leadership, problems, and just simply me. But most importantly she always told me to shut out negative voices, both internal and external, telling me I couldn’t achieve my goals in life or that I wasn’t good enough. With all of my accomplishments I have always and will continue to always thank the lady who never stopped believing in me and never stopped pushing me to be my best self: Granny.
What's your favorite thing about teaching fitness?
Meeting new people and simply connecting with people on a deeper level you sometimes just do not get just attending classes.
Name one guilty pleasure you have.
Wine, lots of wine 🍷
Any upcoming goals or certifications? Fitness or non fitness related.
I am actually planning to get my full AFAA Group Fitness Instructor Certification in addition to my certification through Zumba Instructor Training.
