VJ ClarkVJ Clark was born and raised on Cape Cod, MA and moved to New Bern, NC in 2016. She received her AA from Cape Cod Community College and a BA from UMASS-Boston.
Currently, she is a certified Group exercise instructor and personal trainer through Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). VJ is also certified to teach Kettlebell AMPD and RockSteady Boxing for Parkinson's patients. VJ is the proud mom of 2 amazing young women, who still live in MA. She's also an avid runner, completing two marathons, a Ragnar and a former body builder. VJ believes that exercise should be fun, challenging and help individuals live a healthy and independent life. She strongly believes that everyone has an inner athlete waiting to be discovered. Danielle ShawDanielle Shaw is a "retired" high school chemistry teacher turned Beer Brewer and Group Fitness Instructor. She recently started her fitness instructor journey, but has been an avid fitness enthusiast for almost two decades. Danielle has a wide repertoire of experience in fitness ranging from sports and kickboxing to running and resistance training. She looks forward to seeing you in the studio! You can find her leading Strength and Spin or several early morning Bootcamp classes.
Becki HarmonNew Bern Native and temporary tumbleweed through living in Asheville, Bangkok and New York City until coming back to town in 2013. Becki began her yoga practice upon moving to Asheville in 2005 and became 200RYT certified in 2015 here in New Bern through Open Studio Yoga. She later received her Buti Yoga Certification in August of 2018, Advanced Cert in November 2018, May 2019, and November 2019 in NYC with Bizzie Gold. She has always been in love with exercise, group fitness, mental and physical challenges/health and truly enjoys being involved in the importance of lifting each other up. Becki leads pop up classes, such as Buti Yoga, Spinning, or Bootcamp.
Lucas JordanLucas Jordan was born in Gaithersburg, MD but raised in Lakeland, FL. He graduated from UCF in undergrad studies for health and fitness. Lucas pursued his
Masters degree in human movement from A.T. Still University. He moved to New Bern in 2016 and currently enjoys cycling and above all coaching others in their health and fitness. Lucas teaches TRX and bootcamp at SWEAT Camp. |
Keatha ToddKeatha Todd, a Connecticut native, now feels right at home in the South! After marrying a true Southerner, Tripp, they moved to New Bern four years ago.
With a passion for exercise, it only seemed fitting to become a group fitness instructor after having her daughter Rylee in 2016. Keatha has taught a combination of cardio/strength classes, as well as, Barre. After discovering SWEAT Camp, she realized that this was the missing piece to her fitness routine. She recently welcomed her second daughter, Rowan, and credits the workouts at SWEAT Camp for maintaining her strength (and sanity) throughout her pregnancy. Keatha is also certified in Barre, Les Mills TONE, Kettlebell AMPD, and Rocksteady Boxing. Elizabeth CellaElizabeth Cella grew up a Marine Corps brat, born right here at Cherry Point. She graduated from Sweet Briar College in 2002, then decided to follow her dreams and ride horses for a living. In 2004, Elizabeth started her own business, Brewer Squared. For 14 years she trained kids, adults, and horses to compete on the national level. In 2018, my her retired the Coast Guard and we decided to sell our horse farm and business and move to New Bern to raise their two young boys. Since returning to New Bern, Elizabeth has become a UESCA Certified Running Coach and an ASFA Cycling Instructor. She teaches Strength & Spin and Bootcamp classes for SWEAT Camp.
Terra JohnsonTerra Johnson is an attorney at Harris, Creech, Ward & Blackerby located right here in downtown New Bern. She grew up in Wilkes County, North Carolina, and moved to New Bern right after finishing law school. Before college, she spent most of life on a softball field or performance stage of some sort. During college she was a member of the Wake Forest University Dance Team, and later joined the Campbell Law Rec League Softball Team. Terra has always loved working out and participating in group fitness classes, but SWEAT Camp is the first gym where she has truly feel at home. Terra is so excited to be teaching Bootcamp and ZUMBA at SWEAT Camp!
Kandice Barney Kandice Barney is originally from Utah, but after serving in the Marine Corps, she and her fiancé decided to make New Bern their home. She is currently in her senior year at ECU for Dance Education. She loves to keep herself moving by dancing, walking with her dogs, and sweating at the gym. She is also a choreographer at the local theaters, where she also performs, as well as, New Bern High School, where she currently interns in the dance department. Fitness instruction is new to Kandice, but her passion is no less than dancing. She is excited to merge the two and bring a dance fitness experience to SWEAT Camp. She will also help lead Bootcamp classes.

Bryan & Randi Burke
Randi & Bryan are the proud owners of S.W.E.A.T. Camp.
Bryan is a NC native and recently retired from 20 years in the Marine Corps and now works full time with Randi at S.W.E.A.T. Camp.
Randi is originally from Alabama, met Bryan about 20 years ago and has devoted her adult life to supporting him in his military career. She discovered her passion for fitness along the way and has taught fitness to adults for over ten years.
They have two teenage boys and are excited to have finally settled here in New Bern.
Randi started SWEAT right in their own driveway with just 5 women. With immense community support and commitment, S.W.E.A.T. Camp quickly morphed into what they are blessed with today; 8 trainers, over 120 members and a 5,000 sq foot studio.
S.W.E.A.T. Camp's mission is to be a positive, driving force in the lives of it's members. The team of coaches at S.W.E.A.T. Camp meet everyone where they are in their fitness journey by facilitating a non-judgmental atmosphere, while coaching each person to reach goals and discover hidden potential.
